This open-source site features Maternidades Robadas (StolenMotherhoods), a project developed by Aránzazu Borrachero Mendívil and her team. It contains audiovisual materials and documentation that seeks to the following:

Gather, catalogue and spread the testimonials of victims affected by the forced disappearance of newborns, along with the documentation victims have been able to gather about their own cases.

Document and make public the victims’ struggle for truth and justice.

Help  give context to the abduction of newborns in the Spanish state within the framework of ideologies  of nation, maternity and social class as defined by Francisco Franco’s regime.

Support interdisciplinary investigations about the abductions of newborns.

Continue to explore the potential of new technologies in the field of oral history and gender studies.

The site Maternidades Robadas is an ongoing effort that incorporates new victims' cases and creates content that helps further the investigation on this crime against humanity.
